June Event - Rubel Castle Tour

Ever wish you could explore a real live castle?  Did you know we have one right here in our own backyard?  Let's go explore the Rubel Castle in Glendora and learn all about its unique and remarkable history.  After our tour, we'll have a yummy lunch together.

Meet Time & Place:  9:45AM - Rubel Castle, 844 N Live Oak Ave, Glendora, CA

  • Tour Starts at 10:00AM 

​

What Are We Doing?  Taking a walking  tour of the world-famous Rubel Castle and surrounding property which includes the Citrus Packing House, Tin Palace Museum, Bottle House, Santa Fe Caboose, Clock Tower, Dungeon and more!

​

Things to Know About the Rubel Castle Tour:

  • Tour includes stairs, tunnels, and uneven surfaces.

  • There are no sidewalks, no handrails, and walking surfaces include gravel and bare ground.

  • There are no rest benches along touring routes.

  • Sturdy footwear is required (heels, flip-flops, and sandals are not recommended).

  • A walking and standing ability of at least 90-minutes is required.

  • Restroom facilities (2) require agility and balance due to steps and no handrails.

  • Everyone must sign a Waiver of Liability Form before participating in a tour.

Costs:

  • Rubel Castle Tour - $20.00 (cash only) 

  • Lunch - Restaurant TBD

  • Gas Fee - See Below

​

Wear:  FRIENDS shirt (or something purple), sturdy closed-toed shoes, and a Red Hat.

 

Carpools:  Please try to carpool with the ladies in your area.  
Formula for Gas Fee: Total Round Trip Mileage ÷ 20 (MPG) x $6 (cost of gas per gallon & wear/tear on car)
