Agreements

I Agree.jpg

We have had to make a few "agreements" within our chapter to help with communication, planning, expenses, etc.  (We call them "AGREEMENTS" because "RULES" are not allowed in the RHS!)  These are really simple things and make a huge difference in keeping our group connected, congenial and organized.

We Each Agree . . .

  1. To be an official supporting member of the Red Hat Society - click here for more information on how to join or renew your membership in the RHS.

  2. To check email (and this website) on a regular basis.  Our primary way to communicate is through email, and all emails will have "Red Hats" in the subject line so you can easily find them.

  3. To RSVP promptly (whether Yes or No) to event invitations.

  4. To always wear our Purple outfit & Red HAT to all events.

  5. To pay "up front" promptly for all events, tickets, reservations, and other expenses, so our Queens do not have to "front" the money.  If later we find that we are unable to attend, we can "sell" our space to another member of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. if possible.  If not possible, we will forfeit the money.

  6. To share the cost of gasoline and parking fees when driving to events.  Gas fee will be calculated by taking the total round-trip mileage, dividing that by 20 (MPG), and then multiplying by $5.00 (per gallon).  This total gas fee will then be divided between all the ladies in the car, including the driver.  Parking fees will also be divided between all ladies, including the driver.  Please be prepared to pay gas/parking fees in cash to driver at beginning of event.

  7. To pay in Cash Only when dining in restaurants, and be prepared to over-tip servers (minimum 20%).  We also don't use discount coupons or gift cards to pay for meals during Red Hat events.

  8. To do our best not to double-book ourselves on RH event days.

  9. To arrive on time or even a few minutes early to events.  We will only wait 10 minutes beyond event meet time before starting or leaving for our event.

  10. To let the Queen be the Queen - she is in charge.

  11. To not post photos on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

  12. To remember that Red Hats is about playing, having fun and growing friendships.

  13. To be respectful of each others boundaries and feelings.

  14. Because we started as a group of ladies who love the Lord, we want all our members to be Christian ladies who are actively involved in a church.  This is very important because of who we are, what we believe and the image we want other people to have of us.
