"Unto Us" at LifeHouse Theatre

It's the start of the Christmas season, and we're gathering at LifeHouse Theatre to see their original production of "Unto Us", the Nativity Story of Mary and Joseph and the birth of our wonderful Savior, Jesus. LifeHouse productions are always amazing, and we know this one will be amazing too.

Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.

We were very impressed that they used a live baby,

who was so very good and didn't fuss at all.

The story was told from two perspectives . . . from an older Mother Mary looking back to her son's birth, and from a younger Mary and Joseph being visited by angels, Mary's visit with Elizabeth, and then the journey to Bethlehem and the birth of Baby Jesus. The story even included Jesus' death on the cross and His amazing gift of salvation for all who believe in Him, something most of us had never seen included in a Nativity story. It was really really good.

No photography of any kind is allowed during the performance, but we were allowed to take a picture of the cast at the end of the show.

Most, if not all of the actors are volunteers, and their acting skills and singing voices would rival anything you will find on a more professional stage.

After the show, we headed over to The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner.

Dinner was delicious, our server was so very helpful, and our conversation was so lively and fun, I totally forgot to take a photo of us there. All in all, it was a wonderful day and we look forward to the next time we come to LifeHouse for another of their wonderful plays.

Thanks Carol N for making all the arrangements for such a fun day and the perfect way to welcome in the Christmas season.
