Meet Time & Place:  10:00am - 5500 Paseo Joaquin, Yorba Linda (Garden #7)

What Are We Doing?   Walking through (self-guided) six amazing and unique gardens from the Mary Lou Heard Memorial Garden Tour.  This is a charity event and all proceeds are used to support the Sheepfold Ministry (see below).  There are 36 gardens on the tour - obviously more than it is possible to see in one day.  After we see our last garden, we will have dinner together.

Important:  Eat breakfast before leaving home, and/or bring a bag lunch to eat in the car between homes.  There is no official lunch break, but there are two planned bathroom breaks.  

 

Tentative Plan for the Day: 

• Note:  Garden numbers are per the official tour guide, and are listed in the order we will visit them. 

• All times (except for the first garden) are approximate depending on how much time we spend at each garden.

• 10:00am - Garden #7  - 5500 Paseo Joaquin, Yorba Linda

• 10:45am - Garden #8 -  5160 Via Carretas, Yorba Linda

• 11:45am - Pit Stop at Carol L's house - Potty break and snack time (bring your own snack)

• 12:30pm - Garden #9 -  5739 E. San Juan Drive, Orange

• 1:15pm - Garden #10 - 5504 E. Valencia Drive, Orange

• 2:15pm - Garden #11 - 3512 E. Baron Court, Orange

• 3:00pm - Pit Stop (Potty Break) - Target  - 2620 E Chapman Ave, Orange

• 3:30pm - Garden #12 - 12371 Zig Zag Way, Tustin

• 4:30pm - Dinner - 17Th Street Grill, 17320 17th St, Tustin

Costs:

• Garden Tour is FREE.  However, CASH donations from the heart are greatly appreciated and will be used to support the Sheepfold Ministry, a women's shelter that abused women and their children can escape to in times of crisis.  There will be a place at each garden for donations.

  • Leave your entire donation at one home, divide it between two homes, or leave a donation at each home.  There is no set amount, let your heart decide.

  • Note:  The gardens are in residential neighborhoods with limited parking, so PLEASE CARPOOL with the ladies in your area.​

 

​Wear:  FRIENDS shirt (or something purple), sturdy, closed-toed walking shoes, and a Red Hat, preferably with a brim to shade your face. 

 

Carpools:  Please carpool with the ladies in your area.  

Formula for Gas Fee: Total Round Trip Mileage ÷ 20 (MPG) x $6 (cost of gas per gallon & wear/tear on car)
